Richard Beddie's take on simplifying the world we live in
I’m a VERY lucky guy, and here’s why
In the last 3 weeks the following has happened to me, and they all indicate I am a VERY fortunate person, with a great life
- I got MAJOR sunburn (8 hours of exposure on my back, without sunblock – oooops).
- I feel over running my puppy on a cliff face shingle track and grazed my leg badly
- My puppy wakes me at 3am in the morning barking at hedgehogs
- My motorbike has a flat/dead battery, which is now so stuffed it’s dead and wont start even after a 3 day charge.
- I smashed my finger between 2 bits of metal (I was hitting one hard with the other one at the time)
Lucky eh? Let me explain …I think ALL of these things show I have a very fortunate life. He’s my take on why:
- Sunburn: It only happened coz I was on HOLIDAY, coz I was painting my garage of my wonderful house I live in, on a awesome day in summer (if I hadn’t had a holiday, or lived in a shitty house, or it was raining it wouldn’t have happened)
- Fall: I have a WONDERFUL and playful puppy. I live by the sea, with an awesome cliff running/walking track, and it was summer, so I could wear jandles and go for a run (the last bit night have been a wee mistake!). If any of these were not in place, it wouldn’t have happened.
- Puppy: It’s SOOO cool I have an awesome puppy. She’s playful, lively and adds adventure into my life.
- Motorbike: Well for one I HAVE a motorbike. It reminds me how much fun it is when I can’t ride it, so will enjoy it even more in a week when my new battery arrives
- Finger: Well I have all my limbs still (you have to have fingers for them to be smashed up), and again it was summer, I was on holiday, and I was distracted coz I was enjoying my garden
Black and white version: That’s my take on my lucky life. Remember life is about choices .. that’s how I choose to see it.
